Team – Executive Office
Working Pattern – Hybrid – 3 days per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Vitality Chief Insights Officer’s vision and business strategy. You’ll be writing, preparing and producing analysis, presentations and proposals for executive committees and board meetings.
The successful candidate will understand data analysis and tools for data exploration and visualisation. You will be an expert in communicating complex data and conceptual information in a visually appealing format that can convince executive audiences. You will be a critical and analytical thinker who builds relationships widely across the group to improve and develop the Insights function.
This role reports directly to the Chief Insights Officer and is based in our central London office.
Key Actions
- Writes, prepares and produces analysis, presentations and papers for executive committees and board meetings, liaising across the business and with external parties where necessary
- Supporting the Chief Insights Officer with preparation for executive-level meetings, including gathering data, information and talking points
- Extracts and explores data – including exploratory data analysis and visualisations. To connect trends, patterns and anomalies that form the basis of insights for wider communication
- Performs competitor analysis, market analysis, deep dives into business performance and exploration of new opportunities as directed by the Chief Insights Officer
- Where required, owns and implements special projects or strategic initiatives that may involve running of workshops, data analysis, production of plans and papers, process analysis, cost/benefit analysis and co-ordinating actions
- Participates in management decision-making processes affecting Vitality special projects
Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:
- Experience in producing business cases, proposals, recommendations and strategic plans for executive committees and boards
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building company-wide relationships
- Experience with measurement, metrics, key performance indicators and objectives and key results
- Turning strategic intent into high-quality deliverables under time constraints
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consulting, business management, chief of staff or analytical roles
- Accomplished writer and communicator who uses a range of tools, such as a PowerPoint deck, an Excel analysis, a Word memo or a plain text email. To create simple, compelling and persuasive strategic communications for executive audiences
- Ability to identify patterns, trends and anomalies within data and use ‘storytelling with data’ techniques to communicate insights in dashboards and reports
