Job Summary by the Career Balance Team:

The Supply Chain Compliance Administrator will be responsible for maintaining vendor master data and managing catalogues, material masters, and service masters. They will use third-party data to identify commercial risks and emerging risks. The role involves processing new requests and changes to vendor master data, ensuring they meet control checks related to VAT registration, health and safety, financial health, risk management, and bank account verification. The administrator will also maintain accurate records in SAP, track and investigate alerts, and participate in ad-hoc projects. Strong administration skills, Excel proficiency, and experience in risk roles are required for this position.

Job Description:The Supply Chain Compliance Administrator will work collaboratively across the entire Commercial process, maintaining vendor master data, and managing catalogues, material masters and service masters.  Use third-party data to understand commercial risks and highlight any emerging risks.

What you’ll be doing as a Supply Chain Compliance Administrator

  • Proactively process all new requests and changes to vendor master data to meet SLAs and KPIs, ensuring they meet the control checks. These include:
  • VAT registration and length of trading. (HMRC)
  • Health and safety. (Achilles)
  • Financial health. (D&B)
  • Risk Management.
  • Bank account verification.
  • Maintain data held in SAP, ensuring records are accurate and up to date including vendors, catalogues, material masters, and service masters.
  • Manage the annual refresh of data held in the vendor master along with any periodical self-cert requirements e.g. Achilles, MSA, cyber security.
  • Track, investigate and action alerts generated from D&B and C6 then notify the relevant parties as appropriate.
  • Make effective decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment.
  • Take the initiative across all aspects of the job and consistently look for ways to improve personal performance as well as that of their peers and direct reports.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as required where a master data viewpoint is required.

Base Location: Reading

Working Pattern or hours: 36 Hours

What you should bring to the role 

  • Strong administration experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good Excel skills, particularly VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables.
  • Process-driven but with the ability to challenge and flex.
  • Effective negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of risk and mitigation and being able to challenge.
  • Experience in risk roles.
  • SAP ERP Central Component – particularly the supply chain module.
