A regional developer is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor for their developments in Plymouth and Cornwall. The role involves a mix of office and site work, with one day a week working from home. Responsibilities include subcontractor procurement, valuations, risk identification, and final account management. The ideal candidate will have a background in housing development, be able to run their own schemes, and have strong communication and negotiation skills. Job Description:Quantity Surveyor – Plymouth & Cornwall

Working for a successful regional developer who are currently recruiting for an experienced quantity surveyor or capable assistant quantity surveyor for developments in the Plymouth and Cornwall areas.

This company can offer a good mix of office and site working, generally 1 day a week at home. Reporting to the Managing Surveyor.

You will take full commercial responsibility of the site, subcontractors procurement and orders, variations and payment recommendations, valuations, identifying risk, cvr reporting and final account etc.
 
Applicants should possess the below experience:

• A housing development background is essential with either a housing contractor or developer
• Accustomed to running your own scheme/s
• Ideally qualified to degree or HNC level in Construction or Quantity Surveying or working towards
• Confident communication and negotiation skills
• Fully IT literate
• Strong reporting skills
• A team player

Please be aware sites are in Plymouth and Cornwall and you will need to be prepared to travel to site regularly.
