Job Description:Personal Assistant (Support Worker)
Salary: £15/hour
Location: Newcastle
Work hours: Part time, full time
Shift pattern: Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 11:00-14:00/ 13:00-16:00hrs however hours may increase as required.
Are you an experienced and compassionate Personal Assistant/Support Worker with a minimum of 6-months UK based healthcare experience working in the field of Acquired Brain Injury?

About the role
We are recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Community Healthcare who are looking for an experienced Support Worker with a compassionate and caring nature, ideally with experience in working in the field of ABI however full training and support will be provided to the right person.
What you’ll be doing:
Encourage the client’s active lifestyle including gym visits and dog walking
Accompany client to medical appointments
Assistance with budgeting and shopping
Provide guidance and support with cooking and meal preparation
Create a positive and engaging environment through companionship and social interactions
Build a strong and trusting relationship with the client supporting her to achieve her goals
Requirements:
Right to work in the UK
A minimum of 6-months UK based health or social care experience is essential
Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills
Must be happy to work with the client’s dog
Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere
UK valid driving licence, access to reliable car, business insurance and happy to transport the client in your car
Note: All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
