Job Summary by the Career Balance Team:
A public sector organization based in Portsmouth is looking to hire a management accountant following an internal restructure. The role will involve producing management accounts, overseeing the transactional finance team, and assisting with year-end processes. The ideal candidate will have strong management accounts experience and excellent communication skills. CMA are proud to be partnering with a public sector organisation based in Portsmouth that are looking to recruit a management accountant off the back of an internal restructure. This is a great time to join the organisation and help shape the future. You will be responsible for leading the production of management accounts and oversee the transactional finance team.
What will the Management Accountant role involve?
Production of management accounts including accruals, prepayment, balance sheet reconciliations and commentary.
Business partner with departmental heads and build strong stakeholder relationships to advise and assist in the budgeting process.
Oversee the transactional finance team and assist where necessary.
Assist with the year end processes.
Other ad hoc duties.
Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:
Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA Part qualified and active studier.
Previous public sector experience is a bonus.
Must have strong management accounts experience.
Excellent communication skills.
