Job Summary by the Career Balance Team:

A vehicle fleet technician is needed in North West London to maintain ambulances. The role offers job security for life with the NHS and benefits including sick pay, pension, and 24 days holiday plus bank holidays. The technician will work a 37.5 hour week on a 4-day on, 4-day off rota. The basic salary ranges from £32,000 to £39,000 per year, with progression opportunities for higher salary bandings. A HGV Class 1 driving licence is preferred, but training can be provided. Candidates must have a recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle maintenance and repair or relevant experience.

Job Description:Fleet Technician required in North West London.

This is a Job for life!! Our client is actively looking to hire a skilled and experience Vehicle Fleet Technician to maintain ambulances across the North London area. The work is quality over quantity, every 13 weeks servicing schedule with the ambulances and you are given a day to complete a service!

Details & Benefits Of This Fleet Technician Role:

• 37.5 hour week – 7.00am to 6.00pm / 4 day on 4 days off rota over a 7 week cycle.
• At some point the 4 days worked will fall over a weekend, this is pad as overtime at time+half.
• Any other overtime will also be paid at time+half, the workshop is open 7 days a week as emergency services – overtime will always be available!

• If you work a bank holiday day then you will be given this back in lieu.
• Basic salary ranges between £32,000 to £39,000 p.a. depending on experience and relevant qualifications held.
• There are progression opportunities to enable you to move on up on salary bandings.
• HGV Class 1 driving licence is ideal, if you don’t have this they will put you through training.

Essential Qualifications & Accreditations Required To Apply For This Fleet Technician Role:

• Have served a recognised apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, also holding BTEC/HNC Level or City and Guilds plus relevant post apprenticeship training or equivalent experience.
• However, consideration will be given to candidates with a proven work record who can demonstrate a high level of experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Hold a current driving licence, valid in the UK, covering vehicles of category C1 with no more than 3 points. Your licence will then be assessed based on the conviction codes to decide if acceptable.
