Dunnock View, a new acute Mental Health service opening in February 2024, is seeking an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join their team. The psychologist will play a key role in shaping care pathways and defining the workplace culture. The role involves providing treatment for individuals who have suffered trauma and are affected by mental health disorders. The psychologist will be responsible for assessing service users, delivering specialist psychological treatment, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Job Description:
Are you an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist interested in working at a brand-new acute Mental Health service that’s opening in February 2024, where you will be an integral part of shaping the care pathways, and will be part of defining the workplace culture?
Dunnock View will provides treatment for women and men who may have suffered trauma, and are affected by mental health disorders, and a qualified Psychologist with experience of working with patients in an inpatient mental health setting who can provide the necessary care is required. Is that you?
Whether you have experience from the NHS or the private sector, you can join the team as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist at Dunnock View where you will carry a caseload, which includes assessing service users with complex needs, and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatment.
You will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working, risk assessments, facilitate staff reflective practise sessions and will be requested to design and deliver training.

Your responsibilities
- Supporting the provision of psychology services in a specified area, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Participating fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensuring that the service user is fully engaged in their care pathway
- Supporting clinical team working, including both direct interventions and the delivery of staff training programmes
- Supporting the clinical team and area of service in developing new initiatives and ways of working
- Working with internal and external agencies in order to enhance treatment pathways for service users
To be successful in this role, you’ll need
- Accredited post-graduate qualification in Psychology
- Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) (or qualification pending)
- Post-registration experience is desirable within an inpatient mental health setting;
- Experience of working with people with mental health conditions
