Commercial Manager

Job Summary by the Career Balance Team:

An internationally renowned construction and civil engineering company is searching for a Commercial Manager to work on a newly awarded contract in Penrhyndeudraeth. The successful candidate will receive a salary of £80,000 – £85,000, day shifts, a permanent role, a pension with up to 8% contribution, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company car or car allowance, and accommodation provided. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the commercial function of the project, ensuring compliance with terms, producing accurate reports, and leading commercial meetings. Previous experience in managing a commercial team on large-scale infrastructure projects is essential.

For the successful Commercial Manager our client is offering:

2. Salary: 80,000 – 85,000 (Negotiable depending on experience & skillset)
3. Day shifts 
4. Permanent role
5. Pension with up to 8% contribution from the client
6. 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
7. Company car or car allowance
8. Accommodation provided
9. Based on-site full-time

The Role – Commercial Manager:

2. To take responsibility for the commercial function on a project or section of a project
3. Submit and secure applications to maximise cash income
4. Prepare or approve subcontractor payments to ensure compliance with terms
5. Produce accurate and timely forecasts and monthly reports to demonstrate contract performance
6. Monitor commercial and contract performance to ensure prompt and focussed corrective action
7. Systematically review and validate incoming information
8. Lead regular commercial meetings internally or with client

What our client is looking for in a Commercial Manager

2. Previous experience of managing a commercial team on large-scale infrastructure projects – ESSENTIAL
3. A full appreciation of commercial arrangements with the supply chain
4. Background in Civil Engineering/Construction – ESSENTIAL
5. Hold a current UK Driving Licence
6. Have suitable PC Skills using Microsoft office software
