First Bus is hiring a Lubricator in Hengrove, with a salary of £30,272 per annum. The Lubricator will carry out minor vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement in accordance with Engineering Standard Operating Procedures. The ideal candidate should have a minimum level 2 NVQ standard or equivalent in a relevant qualification and be fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment. Location: Hengrove

Reporting to: Engineering Manager

Salary: £30,272 p/a

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 0600-1400hrs. Please note, flexibility to cover other shifts when required.

About the role

We are looking for lubricators who will carry out minor vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement in accordance with Engineering Standard Operating Procedures, to ensure we consistently deliver a great service everyday.

In this role you will:

• Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement
• Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
• Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using hand held data capture devices if applicable
• Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
• Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair

We’ll provide your overalls and all the tools and equipment needed.

About you

• Minimum level 2 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e. City & Guilds level 1 & 2) in a relevant qualification. 
• Are you fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment including, hydraulic vehicle lifts, pressurised oil and waste systems, battery chargers and starters, trolley jacks, scaffolding, pressure wash and automatic washing equipment, headlamp alignment tester, hydraulic jacks and testing equipment, drilling machine, torque wrenches, pedestal grinders and general portable equipment (i.e. air guns, drills, electric and pneumatic hand tools etc)?
• A PCV licence isn’t essential, we can support you in gaining it.
