Merco Medical is partnering with Independent Assessment Services to recruit a Nurse Assessor for the DWP’s Personal Independence Payment service. The role is home-based with occasional visits to the assessment center. The Nurse Assessor will use their medical experience to conduct paper-based reviews, independent health assessments, and write reports. The salary starts at £35k and increases to £37k after 12 months, with a 10% performance-related bonus. Job Description:
Merco Medical are proudly recruiting, in partnership with Independent Assessment Services, for a Nurse Assessor to work remotely from home on the DWP’s Personal Independence Payment service.
This role is home-based, with occasional visits required in your local assessment centre. All full and part time roles now include a flexible self-led schedule following a 6-week working pattern based on your preferences, in agreement with your line manager.
As a Nurse Assessor you will:
- Use your broad-based medical experience and clinical knowledge to conduct paper-based reviews of claims, independent health assessments and to write reports for the DWP.
- You will be using your critical reasoning skills and drawing upon your clinical experience, skills & knowledge to ensure that your part in the assessment process is positive, dignified, and professional.
- Use your Clinical nursing expertise in a new way whilst enjoying a great work-life balance with excellent benefits
Salary: £35 k rising to £36 k after 6 months and £37k after 12 months. There is also an annual 10% performance related bonus.
Requirements:
- At least one year’s post NMC registration Nursing experience working with people aged 16 to 64.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be a competent user of IT.
