30Job Description:Smile Education are thrilled to be working alongside a busy primary school located in north Birmingham. We are currently seeking a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2024.
We are currently seeking a Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join this vibrant team from September 2024 until the end of the academic year. The successful applicant will be supporting pupils in the build up to KS1 SATs. Applicants should be confident in delivering intervention works, mainly focused on core subjects, particularly around literacy. Applicants will be working as part of the whole class, to ensure pupils are motivated, on task and engaged with learning materials. While also supporting their own small intervention groups and working with pupils on a 1:1 basis where required, to provide targeted intervention support.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a primary school at the heart of its local community. The school is located in north Birmingham, within proximity to Aston, Newtown, Lozells, and Birmingham City Centre. The expected salary range for this role is between £80-90 per day, depending on experience level.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applicants to hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning. Applicants must be available to work full-time Monday- Friday and should be confident in supporting pupils working towards standardised tests.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, such as Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Be available to work on a full-time basis Monday- Friday
  • Be confident in supporting pupils working towards standardised tests. Including, working with own intervention groups and providing targeted 1:1 support where required.
