30Job Description:Smile Education are thrilled to be working alongside a vibrant primary school located in north Birmingham. We are currently seeking a Year 1 Teacher to join the team from September 2024.
We are currently seeking a Year 1 Class Teacher to join this forward-thinking team from September 2024 until the end of the academic year. The successful applicant will be carrying out all usual roles and responsibilities associated with a class teaching position, including marking and planning. ECT’s are encouraged to apply for this role as opportunities to complete induction terms are already in place.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving school community. The school is located in north Birmingham, within proximity to Washwood Heath, Ward End, Hodge Hill and Birmingham City Centre. The expected salary for this role is between £150-210 per day, depending on experience.
What to expect from applicants?
We would like applicants to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Both experienced teachers and early career teachers are encouraged to apply. For ECT’s, opportunities to complete induction terms are already in place. For more experienced teachers seeking career growth and progression, there are clear progression pathways in place, including into middle leadership roles.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Available to work full-time, Monday- Friday
  • Confident in delivering Year 1 National Curriculum, including supporting pupils working towards phonics screening tests.
