Works Manager
We’re looking for a Works Manager to join our Natural Reources, Nuclear & Network team based in Warrington, Cheshire.
Location: North West England, covering United Utilities area
Hours: 45 hours
What will you be responsible for?
As a Works Manager, you’ll be working within the United Utilities AMP 8 framework, supporting the team you’ll be responsible for ensuring the construction activities of the project are delivered to the highest quality standard and in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. You’ll work collaboratively with the site team and peers from the wider Enterprise to improve performance and deliver successful project outcomes.
Your day to day will include:
- Ensure RAMS briefings are effective and there is a clear understanding and plan of how the work will be carried out; ensure compliance.
- Act as the single point of contact for the interface of construction and installation activities. Promote through the collection of safety data and development of a safety strategy, a zero-tolerance approach to accidents and drive a safe culture.
- Establish and maintain a successful relationships with the project team, wider enterprise partners, supply chain, suppliers, and all interested parties and stakeholders.
- Make sure areas of work requiring specialist skills are assigned to appropriately qualified and experienced personnel.
- Make sure shift briefings are effective and there is a clear understanding of the daily specific risks and interfaces on the project; ensure compliance
What are we looking for?
This role of Works Manager is great for you if:
- You’ve CSCS, SMSTS, TWC, First Aider, AP.
- You have a clean drivers licence.
- You’ll have experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams in a D&B environment with Client facing responsibilities.
- Someone with experience in deliverying a £30m+ in a similiar role
