Our client, a successful North East distributor, is currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

This Warehouse Manager role will provide hands on leadership to a growing warehouse team ensuring that productivity targets are met and maintained. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving business with ambitious growth plans in the coming years. This will be a varied post with opportunities to implement continuous improvements and LEAN principles across the warehouse.

About the Warehouse Manager Role

The Warehouse Manager role will lead the warehouse team to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on improved performance through team work & problem solving.

 

Other responsibilities will include:

 

• Manage and optimise warehouse operations, including goods receipt, storage, and dispatch

• Measure and manage team performance

• Ensure all despatches are made on-time and promptly

• Maintain a schedule of cycle counting and routine stock checks

• Optimise the use of storage space on an ongoing basis

• Promote and develop a strong safety culture

• Promote and lead a culture of continuous improvement

• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems

 

About You

You will have proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Shift Manager in an Industrial business. You will have excellent leadership skills and a drive to improve performance both for the business and on an individual basis.

 

Other requirements include:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities

• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and databases

• Familiarity with health and safety standards within a warehouse environment

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced setting
