A Sheffield-based Preparation Centre is looking for a PDI Technician to join their dynamic team. This full-time position offers a shift pattern of four days on and four days off, amounting to 38.5 hours weekly. The technician will perform pre-delivery inspections, identify vehicle faults, and carry out routine servicing and basic mechanical repairs. Candidates should possess Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications, have experience meeting efficiency targets, and demonstrate good communication skills. A VOSA-approved MOT tester certification is advantageous but not essential. The role provides a competitive salary of £33,000 and various employee benefits.

*Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities*
* Carry out pre-delivery inspections on used vehicles to company and manufacturer standards.
* Identify and report vehicle faults or defects, advising on the necessary repairs.
* Complete routine servicing, including oil and filter changes, fluid checks, and general maintenance tasks.
* Perform basic mechanical repairs, such as brake pad and brake lining replacements.
* Use diagnostic tools where appropriate to support vehicle assessments.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
*A Bit About You*
* Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified
* Prior experience of working to efficiency targets
* Good communication skills and ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
* VOSA approved MOT tester also an advantage but not essential
* Dealers experience preferable but not essential
