Smile Education are currently working with a very successful and friendly Primary School in North Manchester, recruiting for KS2 teaching assistants and we would love to hear from you!
 
To apply for the role you must have:

  • A relevant qualification (for example, NVQ level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) or undergraduate degree.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
  • Able and willing to travel to the area.
  • 2 education-based references
  • A passion for teaching/supporting.
  • Good approach to behaviour management
  • A determined, hard-working attitude.
  • 2+ years tutoring Primary school children.
  • Experience working with Year 6 SATs

The role as a Year 5 & 6 Teaching Assistant will involve:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver learning materials to individuals.
  • Assess, record and report on pupils’ progress.
  • Follow instructions given by the class teacher.
  • Helping pupils improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in individual and group sessions.
  • Helping year 6 pupils prepare for SATs
