Trunk Driver – Class 1

The company is seeking experienced Class 1 Trunk Drivers to join their transport team, primarily servicing hospitals by transporting healthcare waste to incinerator plants. Drivers will work 45 hours per week on the afternoon shift, starting between 3 and 4 pm, and will be responsible for completing necessary paperwork. Candidates must have a Class 1 Licence, Driver CPC, and Digi Card, with ADR certification preferred. Our experienced Class 1 Trunk Drivers work as part of a busy transport team dealing primarily with hospitals and are responsible for the movement and unloading of healthcare waste between our transfer stations and incinerator plants.
Acting as a key point of customer contact, you’ll reconcile/complete all associated paperwork and relevant documentation via a hand-held terminal.
Working 45hrs per week on the afternoon shift – Start time between 3/4pm.*

*ADR required*; however, training will be provided for suitable drivers with the following skills/background:
* Relevant driving experience and Class 1 License (with C+E entitlement), as well as a Full Driver CPC and Digi Card, preferably linked to an ADR certificate – packages 6.1/ 6.2
* The ability to undertake heavy lifting and physically demanding work, involving the safe movement of large wheeled units on and off vehicles
* Excellent customer service skills and the confidence to interact at all levels, along with plenty of flexibility around working hours and a willingness to go that ‘extra mile’
