Are you a strategic financial leader with a passion for making a difference? The NSPCC is seeking a new Treasurer to join its Board of Trustees, a pivotal role at the heart of one of the UK’s most respected and impactful charities. As Treasurer, you’ll help steer the financial health and governance of an organisation that’s been fighting to end child abuse and neglect for over 140 years. This is your opportunity to bring your expertise to a cause that matters now more than ever.
The NSPCC is a complex, values-driven organisation, powered by the generosity of hundreds of thousands of donors and the dedication of thousands of staff and volunteers. We deliver life changing services across the UK and Channel Islands from Childline and our national helpline to local school-based services such as Speak Out Stay Safe, as well as our policy influence work. Our strategy is bold and ambitious: we aim to ensure everyone plays their part to prevent child abuse, every child is safe online, and children feel safe, listened to, and supported. In order to do this, we need to have a Treasurer with a growth mindset in order that we can be everywhere that children are.
As Treasurer, you will chair the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and provide expert guidance on financial oversight, risk management, and strategic viability. You’ll work closely with the Director of Finance and Technology, fellow Trustees, and external partners to ensure our resources are used effectively and ethically. Your insight will help shape investment and reserves policies, pension arrangements, and our long-term financial sustainability.
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of strategic financial leadership in a complex organisation, deep governance experience, and a commitment to our values. You’ll be commercially astute, analytically sharp, and emotionally intelligent. Above all, you’ll be driven by a desire to create a safer world for children.
If you believe in putting children first and want to use your financial expertise to drive real change, we’d love to hear from you. Please visit the attenti website – which can be accessed via the Apply button below – to read the appointment brief for more information and how to apply.
For an informal and confidential discussion, after having read the appointment brief, please contact David Fielding on , or Anita Denton on ,
Closing date for all applicants is 9 AM Monday 24th November 2025.
