A well-known transport/logistics client based in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor. The role involves overseeing all transport office staff, managing drivers, and ensuring driver and vehicle compliance. The position is Monday to Friday, 11am-8pm, and offers a salary of £30,000-£35,000. The ideal candidate will have transport industry experience, supervisor/team leader experience, and a deep understanding of driver and vehicle compliance. We are recruiting an experienced TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR for our well-known Transport/Logistics client based in Birmingham B35.  This is a TEMP-PERM opportunity starting immediately.

Hours of work:
11am-8pm

Days of work:
Monday to Friday

Salary:
£30,000-£35,000 depending on skills and experience

Location:
Birmingham, B35

The Role:

• Overseeing all transport office staff, running a pallet distribution operation
• Driver and vehicle compliance (vehicle defects, driver infringements, drivers hours etc….)
• Managing drivers
• Real-time problems solving
• Staff appraisal and feedback
• Following administrative and operational processes and procedures

Requirements:

• Transport industry experience (ideally pallet network but not essential)
• Supervisor/Team Leader (or similar) experience
• A deep understanding of driver and vehicle compliance
• A customer-focused attitude
• National CPC (preferred but not essential)
• Strong PC and administrative skills
