Transport Planner.

Job Summary by the Career Balance Team:

A client based in Tamworth is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their team. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic. They should also have previous experience in planning in a fast-paced environment. The role is office-based and involves speaking with customers and service providers via email and telephone. The working hours are flexible, with a 1-hour lunch break. The salary for the position is £28,000 to £30,000 per year, with the potential for a bonus if weekly targets are met.

Key strengths and skills required.

• Good communication skills
• Must have experience of Planning but self-motivated to ensure you drive this forward
• Understanding what the costs are and how to charge out including backloads
• Being connected and being able to spot trends and take on the initiative to contact local depots to support us.
• High ethic for team-work with the ability to work alone.  Communication is a big point, being able to spot empties and work across the palletline/amazon planners to ensure we are maxed.

• Dealing with drivers and manoeuvring situations on your own where possible

This is an office based role where you will be expected to speak with customers and service providers via email and telephone, the role hours are with a 1 hour lunch break, however must be flexible to work hours to support the business needs.
