Hatched Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established commercial service provider and we’re looking to speak with an experienced Transport Manager to oversee their logistics operations based from Slough HQ.
With a successful history spanning over 30 years, our partner has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services across the UK. As their customer base continues to grow and encompass prestigious clients, they require experienced individuals to ensure smooth operations.
Your Responsibilities –
- Managing the transportation of goods efficiently
- Develop and implement transport strategies to meet company objectives
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day transportation activities
- Manage a fleet of 25 Vehicles and 35 Drivers
- Monitor transport costs and performance to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all transport activities –
- Manage a team of drivers and logistics staff effectively –
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations –
- Utilise computer systems to track shipments and communicate with stakeholders
Skills: –
- Strong supply chain management skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Effective leadership capabilities to lead a team
- Computer literacy, particularly in Outlook, Word, and IT systems
- Drive to achieve targets and improve processes
- Proficient in logistics operations and management
License/Certification:
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) (required)
