124Job Description:Pertemps have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Technician to join one of our most renowned clients on an ongoing basis. This opportunity could become permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include:
- Adhere to the company values and always maintain professional conduct.
- Review test schedule daily and emails/Teams for specific tasks.
- System test setup coordination – mechanical and electrical.
- Data acquisition.
- Test execution – Safety and consistent approach.
- Trouble shoot test failure – interface with engineering to determine path forward.
- Feedback on rework process.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Management.
- Work with teams responsible for new product, offering input on test process for their projects.
- Interact with company personnel at all levels, customers and suppliers, with respect, tact and discretion.
- Within the scope of the Job Requirements, adhere to the Company’s ISO Quality Program, Company Policy, Safety / Environmental Regulations, and any applicable test standards.
- Regularly review with supervisor and/or manufacturing process engineer on opportunities for test process and facilities improvement.
- Accountable for weekly test schedule fulfillment, instrumentation / system calibration.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Electrical Inspection Certified preferred.
- Preferred a minimum of 2 years’ experience within systems assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- Use of Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects on a daily and strategic level.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Have a practical mechanical and/or electrical aptitude with proven problem-solving skills.
- Must possess the ability to work independently and automatously.
- Flexibility with work hours including shift possibilities.
- Communicate with personnel in Engineering with clarity and accuracy in relation to test issues.
- Organized and focused with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
- Capable of reading and operating precision measuring instruments.
Working Pattern – Monday to Friday day shifts (may be required to work outside of these hours at times)
Hourly rate: up to £18.00
