Calling all Chemistry specialists! Hourglass are currently working with a school in Reading, Berkshire, as they look to appoint on a permanent contract, commencing in April 2024.
The successful candidate will hold QTS, QTLS or an overseas teaching qualification and recent experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level. Strong communication skills, effective classroom and practical skills and a clear desire to help pupils to excel in all elements of science are essential. Experienced practitioners and ECTs are equally welcome to apply.
The school is a large mixed secondary with a settled leadership team and a strong track record of delivering strong outcomes for pupils. Facilities are modern and the school is sited at the centre of a thriving community.
Reading is a multicultural and well-located town in the royal county of Berkshire, to the west of London. The capital is easily reachable buy high-speed train, and the neighbouring counties of Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire are close by.
