Sushi Chef – Izakaya

A new retail concept is seeking a head sushi chef to oversee an izakaya-style sushi counter that serves both dine-in and take-home options. The role involves managing the counter's presentation, collaborating with an onsite fishmonger, and creating visually appealing dishes that encourage customer engagement, particularly on social media. The chef will interact directly with customers and work alongside other departments within the retail unit. Candidates should possess knowledge of izakaya-style sushi and a passion for maintaining an attractive sushi counter. The position, located in Chelsea, offers a salary of £50,000.

Head Sushi chef – Izakayastyle. We are looking for a sushi chef to look after a sushi counter that is using amazing fish and is for both eat in sushi and take home sushi as well. This sushi counter is part of a retail store that also has restaurant tables as well. This is a really excitingnew concept, be part of the new concept team, create some amazingizakayastyle dishes that customers will take pictures of on Instagram and come back again and again. This is an open sushi counter, so you will speak and see the customers infront of you.

The role
As the Sushi chef you will head up the sushi counter, you will ensure your counter looks amazing, this counter is part of a retail unit, so you will work alongside other departments as well. You will createizakayastyle sushi, set up your sushi counter, serve customers for take home sushi items and also plate up sushi for customers who are eating in the bistro area of the concept. You will work alongside the onsite fishmonger to ensure the right type of fish is available. This role will include all the standard sushi chef duties.
Experience
