63Job Description:An Independent Fostering Agency are looking for a knowledgeable Supervising Social Worker to join their team.
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be looking after a manageable caseload of foster families. Working in partnership with other team members to provide a high-quality service for their foster families and the children/young people they look after.
You will be responsible for ensuring that children’s care and development needs are met within placements by undertaking necessary planning and intervention for both emergency and planned referrals.

Responsibilities of you as the Supervising Social Worker:
- Supervising managing a caseload of foster carers
- Participate in all foster care reviews
- Provide and develop support and supervision
- Visit and assess potential foster carers
- Assess and identify support and training needs of foster carers
- Support Children and Young people
Requirements of you as the Supervising Social Worker:
- Dip SW/CQSW/Social Work Degree and current SWE registration
- Experience of working within Fostering
- Experience of partnership working with families and external agencies, preferably in a Safeguarding or Looked after Children’s Teams.
- Must hold a full UK Driving Licence
Location: Southwest (M5 corridor)
Salary scale: £36,000 – £40,000 dependent on experience
