Are you passionate about sports and education? Are you a coach who is interested in taking their first steps into school teaching?

Smile Education are looking for two passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated sports instructors to work in a secondary school based in Cannock.

You will be required to support the PE department, working with students in KS3 and KS4. You will be expected to plan lessons, monitor students’ progress, and report to the head of department. You will also be expected to work 1:1 and in small groups with students who are struggling with the subject.

About You:

  • Be a qualified Sports Coach OR PE Graduate
  • Experience supporting children and their learning
  • Be able and willing to travel to the Telford area
  • Have high expectations of yourself in your career and the pupils you teach

The school is open to both recent sports graduates, candidates with previous experience working with children in sports camps, and qualified PE teachers.

The Graduate Academy gives graduates the opportunity to gain meaningful experience in the classroom as a Teaching Assistant and provides them with the chance to inspire the minds of young people. It is the perfect starter for those who are considering embarking upon a PGCE / SCITT / School Direct.
