Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Sports Club Supervisor to join the Commercial Department on a permanent basis (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). This is a fulltime, permanent position working 35 hours per week on a rota basis, with an annual salary of £26,298 per annum.  The role is based at the Stewart Melville College on Queensferry Road. 

The purpose of the role is to supervise and oversee the day-to-day operations of all sports facilities at ESMS, including the gym, pool and sports equipment. They provide supervision and guidance to facility team members and sports attendants, whilst supporting the management team in achieving various business objectives as set by the school, including financial objectives, delivering and maintaining high levels of customer service, operational and growth objectives. The Sports Club Supervisor will be also be responsible for the management of facility bookings and providing a high level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, students and sports club customers. 

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in sports and fitness, with the desire to further develop their skills and experience in coaching and fitness through professional and personal development opportunities. They will have demonstrated experience working in a gym or fitness centre, or within a customer facing environment. They will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage their own time and prioritise workload whilst supporting and managing the team of sports attendants. Experience and education in sports coaching or fitness is desirable but not essential.

Eligibility 

ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right work in the UK.
