Specialty Doctor in Palliative Care

£72k FTE

Are you a dedicated and compassionate doctor looking for a fulfilling role in Palliative Care? We are seeking a talented Specialty Doctor to join the team at a leading Hospice and provide exceptional care to their patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in comprehensive handovers and collaborate with the team on patient care.
  • Coordinate admissions and discharges, working closely with nursing staff and administrators.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop holistic palliative care plans.
  • Facilitate advance care planning discussions and support patients and families emotionally.
  • Regularly review patients’ clinical management and adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Participate in virtual MDT meetings and collaborate with Palliative Medicine Consultants.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of consultations and telephone advice.
  • Contribute to clinical supervision, audits, and policy development.
  • Support the learning experience of students and provide education to clinical staff.

Requirements:

  • Medical qualification and registration.
