Sous Chef – Events

Up to £45,000 + Overtime

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sous Chef to join a luxury event catering company as part of the management team based in London. As Sous Chef you will be responsible for supporting with managing the kitchen team along with creating menus and delivery high-end food to outstanding events whilst bringing a creative flair to the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a fundamental member of the team cooking for private dining, banqueting, conferences and events at high end prestigious venues.
  • Support with the creating of new menus
  • Produce high quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients presented with flair and creativity
  • Over see and manage a team of full time and freelance chefs as well as delivering events and tastings as a lead chef when required
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a safe manner, adhering to strict allergen requirements in line with food safety legislation and company policy
  • Working efficiently and tidily, promoting best practice and skills in a sustainable manner

Skills and Experience

  • Experience at Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef level with a strong and proven work history in events catering or venues or Michelin restaurants
  • Good eye for detail and presentation 
  • Ability to run events on your own and manage a team 
  • Passionate about food and fresh ingredients 
  • Flexible with a positive can-do attitude
