A traditional French restaurant is seeking a Sous Chef to oversee the vegetable and soup section. This independent establishment has a strong track record and serves classic French dishes. The role, offering a salary between £44,000 and £50,000, involves preparing the vegetable section for service and cooking classical French vegetable items. The successful candidate will report to the Executive Chef and Head Chef and will be responsible for both sous chef and chef de partie duties. Candidates must possess hands-on experience and knowledge of classical French cooking techniques, particularly with vegetables.
Sous Chefrequired for a traditional french restaurant, working on the Vegetable & soup section, this is a classical French restaurant, serving some French classics. It is a independent restaurant, that has been trading for many years and doing very well. Sous chef £44k-50k. They have a exec chef and head chef, this role is under these two people but is a hands on role running a section. You must be able to work with a classical french menu & be able to cope with a range of dishes.
The role:
As a sous chef, you will be you will prepare your section, which is the vegetable section and have this ready for service. You will in service cook French classical Vegetable items to go on the side dishes for the classical items. This role will include all the standard sous chef duties but it is running a section so is also thechef de partie duties & you will run the vegetable section using classical techniques.
Expeirence
We are looking for a hands on sous chef with french classical knowledge of vegetables. You will know how to prepare and cook these to a classical french method.
