Reporting to: Chief Technology Officer

Salary: £40-£44k

Join our dynamic Software Engineering Team for an exciting opportunity. We’re on the lookout for passionate Developers seeking a new challenge. You’ll play a pivotal role in our organisation’s journey, collaborating within an effective and evolving software engineering team that covers the full stack. Your main focus will be on developing and supporting Vianet’s primary software and associated systems using Agile methodologies. You’ll work closely with team leadership and stakeholders to bring user stories to life through modern technology practices. Additionally, you’ll contribute to shaping Vianet’s overarching product strategy, as we strive to become a cutting-edge, cloud-first technology company.

There are some essential experience and leadership skills you will need to have: –

• At least 2 years commercial experience as a software developer, using the following technologies:
  • .Net (C#)
  • WebAPI
  • Unit Testing
  • MVC
  • REST
  • T-SQL / SQL Server
  • JQuery
  • Typescript
  • Javascript
  • Entity Framework and/or LLBLGen
  • Git
• Working experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably with experience of the following:
  • Azure DevOps
  • TeamCity
  • Octopus Deploy
• Knowledge of any of the following Azure services would be advantageous:
  • Event Hubs
  • Service Bus
  • Redis Cache
  • AppService
• Knowledge of any of the following general technologies/areas would be advantageous:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • VueJS
  • Jira
  • Dapper
• Other necessary skills/experience:
  • At least 2 years working within Scrum Agile methodology.
  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective and engaging communicator with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven record in designing and developing innovative solutions across the technology stack.
  • Passionate about software engineering, best practice around software development, Agile methodologies and continuous delivery.
