Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a Smart Repairer back shift at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.
*Duties and responsibilities:*
* Carry out minor scratches by machine polishing and various cosmetic repairs to vehicle paintwork, plastic parts, glass repairs and interior fabric repairs.
* Carry out all tasks in line with your skills and business requirements, to the highest quality standards at all times.
* Maintain high standards of house- keeping
* Preparing vehicles for paintwork (including masking).
* Carrying out minor damage repairs.
* Polishing to remove defects from vehicle paintwork.
* Mixing paint to apply to vehicles.
* Applying paint products correctly and to a high standard.
* Carrying out all aspects of SMART repair to a wide range of vehicles in our workshop
* Cosmetic paint repairs working to our internal used car preparation standard
* Mixing and colour matching, painting all repaired areas to a high standard, with a polished finish.
* Keeping up to date and learning the industry standards of SMART repair techniques.
*Essential:*
* Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
* Dealer experience preferred.
* Take pride and responsibility for your own appearance as well as the appearance and organisation of the site in which you work.
