iO Associates are partnered with a Information Services provider who due to the ongoing success of their online platform, they are expanding their portfolio to enhance our current offerings in corporate intelligence and due diligence solutions and are looking for a Senior Software engineer to join the team.
As part of our Software Development Team, you will be instrumental in scoping new developments and redevelopments for our client-facing online platform. Our primary focus is on web applications that support all areas of our business.
This role is suited for someone with 7+ years’ experience and is looking for a role where they can encompass a vast range of skillsets to work on some of the biggest clients out there.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion technical best practices within the team.
- Design and develop well-structured modular systems using efficient code that adheres to our in-house coding and quality standards.
- Collaborate and contribute value through peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
- Deliver technical solutions to complex problems and provide accurate estimations.
- Document systems effectively to ensure ease of support and future modifications.
- Investigate and solve unknown problems, delivering practical solutions.
- Monitor project progress to ensure delivery within agreed deadlines and targets.
- Mentor team members to drive standards.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related field, with additional professional management training.
- Extensive experience with:
- C# .NET/.NET Framework
- Angular or another Typescript SPA
- CSS, SASS, SCSS
- SQL Server 2012+
- Docker
Technical Skills:
- Thorough understanding of the complete software development life cycle.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Proficiency in source control and automated build/test systems.
- Experience with cloud-based Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
- Ability to lead projects, understanding both technical and non-technical needs.
- Expertise in software architecture design and Cloud/DevOps best practices.
- Extensive knowledge of:
- Cloud Architecture/DevOps
- Containerization
- Web API
- Interfacing techniques
- Design Patterns
- Microservices
- TDD/BDD
Not essential but would be a bonus:
