Job Description:About The Role
Team – Project Services
Working Pattern – Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
As Senior Project Manager (SPM) you will be dependable for executing change within the time, budget and scope for high value or complex project deliveries. You will also provide creative solutions to manage ongoing change requirements through the life of the project.
Key Actions:
Project Management
- Proactively engage with key stakeholders to baseline budget, time and scope for projects under management
- Effective management of Change requests to budget, time and or scope
- Management of multiple initiatives simultaneously if required
- Agree and define roles and responsibilities for key stakeholders and resources under management
- Establish the project governance model, team structures and practices, and working relationships, and work with the PMO to improve and enhance the wider Change management framework
- Establish milestones, activities and plans, and manage performance against them
- Produce and manage budget and resource plans for the project and continually update these through the duration of the project
- Manage, document and escalate cost, risk and scope issues with the Head of Portfolio or Sponsor
- Follow the project methodology, practices and procedures appropriate for the particular project but still in line with PMO guiding principles
- Work with external vendors and outsourced providers
- Provide effective status updates to key stakeholders
- Identify, evaluate and document ‘lessons learned’ during the project. Communicate best practices and lessons learned to project team members and other teams as appropriate
Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:
- IT or Business-related qualifications or equivalent professional experience
- Has a close link to wider industry practices & the Project Management profession
- Experience line managing or coaching Project Managers at different levels
- Significant experience working with stakeholders at all levels within an organisation
- Experience working within a complex matrix management environment
- Has coached others in the proficient use of Project Management artefacts and effective delivery of planning outcomes
- Has led on large and complex programmes of work
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, and Strategic Project environments
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask in an effective and organised manner
- Excellent knowledge of Project Management approaches and methodologies
