This is an opportunity for a passionate Occupational Therapist interested in directly shaping and developing mental health occupational therapy provision.
Currently based at Ward 12, Pilgrim Hospital but moving to a specifically designed purpose built new building in Boston, we work with adults of working age admitted to the inpatient acute ward for assessment and treatment. You will be managing the day to day running of occupational therapy provision for the ward including assessments and interventions, management, supervision and appraisal of support staff as well as taking an active role in preparing for the move into the new unit setting.
We welcome any questions or pre application conversations regarding the role, just get in touch.
We look forward to hearing from you!
As a valued team member, you will work with service users, carers, MDT and external services to promote patients’ independence, quality of life and well-being. The role sits within the wider occupational therapy across the acute service and provides regular opportunities for peer support as well as ongoing support from the Acute OT lead.
We support and embrace continuing practice development opportunities which recently included areas such as sensory modulation, cognitive screening and mindfulness. We use the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) with ample support for specific training and peer supervisions around it’s use.
