Working as a Senior Mechanical engineer, no two days will be the same, but you will always play a crucial part in ensuring the day-to-day progress of the business.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Provide mechanical engineering assistance to operations, including supporting the Engineering Management of Change process and overseeing equipment repairs and replacements.
  • Take responsibility for the mechanical engineering deliverables on large multi-discipline projects, or managing the delivery of smaller single discipline projects, to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, while ensuring equipment is fit for purpose and meets all relevant internal and external standards and legislation.
  • Provide Technical authority guidance and support and take ownership of a number of internal standards.
  • Undertake internal audits and support incident investigations.
  • Contribute to and deliver continuous improvement objectives.
  • And lastly, you will support the development of less experienced engineers within the business.

The ideal Senior Mechanical Engineer will ideally:

  • Qualified to bachelors and master’s level in mechanical engineering or a similar subject.
  • A Chartered Engineer or working towards it.
  • Furthermore, have 8+ years of experience providing Engineering support to operations and/or projects in the process industry, working with pressure systems and pressure equipment.
