Job Summary by the Career Balance Team:

A market-leading organization based in Dorset is seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join their team and support the Finance Director. The role involves preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring deadlines are met, and developing a detailed knowledge of the business. The ideal candidate will have experience in management accounting, a solid understanding of MS Office, and the ability to prioritize in an evolving working environment. The company offers hybrid working, flexible hours, and benefits such as pension and 25 days of holiday. The role is primarily on-site, with three days on-site and two days working from home.

Job Description:Sheridan Maine are working closely with a market leading organisation based in the heart of Dorset to secure a Senior Management Accountant to join the business. You will support the Finance Director with running a efficient finance team.

As Management Accountant you will have with experience of preparing monthly management accounts, running timely month ends, ensuring all HMRC related deadlines are met and developing a detailed knowledge of the business including ledger management.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing, SME and work in a role where you can make a tangible difference.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Experience preparing management accounts with in depth analysis and commmentary
  • Solid understanding of MS Office and formulas/lookups that may be required, such as pivot tables and vlookups, or at least the framework to understand and learn these tools
  • Experience running month end for both sales and purchase ledger
  • Providing cash summaries to the directors
  • Producing cash flow forecasts
  • Quarterly VAT returns, expenses and Payroll

 
Experience and Skills required:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified, or equivalent with experience as an Senior Management Accountant
  • Experience preparing management accounts with in depth analysis and commmentary
  • Solid understanding of MS Office and formulas that may be required, such as pivot tables and v-lookups, or at least the framework to understand and learn these tools
  • Experience running month end for both sales and purchase ledger
  • Experience with all HMRC related important time-sensitive procedures including VAT returns
  • Ability to prioritise and take initiative in a evolving working environment

The company offer hybrid working, flexible hours and have pension, 25 days holiday (not inc. BH) and car parking on-site.

Please note that this is primarily an on-site role due to its complexity and being a vital part of the business, with 3 days on site and 2 from home. However on-site full tine during training and induction period.
