Then look no further as my well-established client is looking out for an ambitious and collaborative Senior Civil Engineer, with minimum relevant UK industry experience of minimum 3+ years’.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and mentor project teams, overseeing engineers of varying experience levels.
- Project Leadership: Take charge of multiple projects, ensuring they meet or exceed quality standards and deadlines. Engage with clients, collaborators, and stakeholders while efficiently allocating resources and coordinating processes according to Civic Engineers’ QMS and IMS.
- Development and Training: Assist in the development of junior team members, identifying training needs, equipment requirements, and software licenses.
- Project Profitability: Monitor project profitability, striving to deliver projects within budget and timelines, and communicate any potential billing or labour plan changes to Project Associates or Directors.
- Client Relations: Maintain and enhance Civic Engineers’ reputation in client-facing roles, contribute to securing repeat business, and identify new opportunities. Participate in bids for new projects as needed.

Successful candidate specifications:
- Minimum relevant UK experience of 3+ years’ in drainage, highways, utilities and/or infrastructure design;
- In-depth understanding of industry processes, including planning applications, procurement, and technical approvals.
- Proficiency in industry software like Microdrainage, Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, graphical).
- Exceptional report-writing skills.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- High proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word).
- Commercial awareness.
- Strong teamwork and time management skills.
