Location: Castle Bromwich 

Are you a passionate and caring indvidual who loves working with children in order to support their learning and development? I am seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a local school within the Castle Bromich area, where you will be supporting SEND children within their education and other valuable life skills. 

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse learning requirements. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with teaching staff to ensure that all students, regardless of their abilities or challenges, receive the necessary support to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with teaching staff to create personalised learning plans for students with special educational needs.
  2. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons, ensuring they stay engaged and comprehend the material.
  3. Adapt teaching materials and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  4. Implement strategies to foster independence and confidence in students with special educational needs.
  5. Liaise with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to provide updates on students’ progress and collaborate on effective support strategies.

Requirements:

  1. Hold a level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, Teaching Assistant or the equivalent.
  2. A calm and patient approach.
  3. Previous experience working with vulnerable children with special educational needs.
  4. a friendly, approachable individual who works well with others.
