About the Role:
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of individual students with SEN and SEMH. This involves:

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Working closely with students on a one-to-one basis in various settings, including schools, homes, and external venues.
• Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective teaching sessions tailored to individual needs.
• Adapting teaching materials and methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure continuity of support.
• Completing administrative tasks, including progress reports, session plans, and evaluation reports.
• Continuously developing your skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.

• A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to inclusion.
• Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children.
• Proficiency in literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
