If so, we invite you to join this supportive team at this special school nestled in the heart of Tamworth. They are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.
 
*** SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
*** Immediate start until July 2024
*** £70 – £80 per day
*** SEN school based in Tamworth
*** 1:1 and small group support to SEN children
 
This school is a leading special school committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for students with a range of special educational needs. their dedicated staff work collaboratively to ensure that each student receives the individualised care and attention they deserve, fostering an atmosphere of learning, growth, and empowerment.
 
As a SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the teaching staff in providing a nurturing and stimulating educational experience for our students. Your responsibilities will include:
 

  • Supporting students with various SEN, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Collaborating with teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials.
  • Providing one-on-one support or small group interventions to address specific educational needs.
  • Assisting in the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress to the teaching team.

 
Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in a relevant field (education, psychology, special education, etc.).
  • Passion and commitment to supporting students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
