A leading SEMH school Located in Liverpool are looking to appoint an SEMH Support Assistant for a September start. This school recognises that for many of their children, the journey of education so far hasn’t been easy. They look to think creatively and their approach to learning, so they can stimulate and invigorate their students. They want each child to be able to set ambitious targets and create ECHP’s to support them on achieving their own personal goals.

What will you do as an SEMH Support Assistant?

  • You will work with the students to support personal social and academic development of students and promote their well-being within each Key Stage.
  • Offering care, support and be someone who will listen to their concerns & worries.
  • You will assist in working with parents and others who support both in school and from home.

The role of an SEMH Support Assistant:

  • Social, emotional & mental health support assistant
  • £25,000
  • September 2024
  • Monday – Friday – Term Time
  • Support teachers covering lessons where necessary.

Specification for a SEMH Support Assistant:

  • Degree within Education, Psychology
  • Strong A-Level results
  • Good written & oral skills
  • Ideally previous experience with SEMH / PSHE
  • Knowledge of career paths and /or higher education & willingness to learn more.
  • Must be able to motivate & inspire the younger generation.
