The Levels School is looking to hire a dedicated individual for caretaking and maintenance duties within their co-educational independent specialist day school. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a small team, while also demonstrating the ability to operate independently when necessary. Responsibilities include general maintenance, ensuring the safety and cleanliness of school grounds, performing basic repairs, and assisting with school events. Flexible working hours are available, with a preference for candidates who can commit to 35 hours per week. The school values diversity and is committed to safeguarding, requiring an enhanced DBS check for applicants.
Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint a hard-working, enthusiastic individual to carry out caretaking and maintenance duties working as part of a small team in our thriving co-educational independent specialist day school.
Candidates should be able to work well with others as an integral part of The Levels School team to assist a seamless operation of maintenance needs whilst being confident in their own abilities to be able to work unsupervised when required.
Working hours: Flexible Monday – Friday
35 hours per week All Year Round, we would consider Part Time hours for the right candidate.
Salary commensurate with experience and skill set offered
Main Responsibilities:
Duties and respons
- General maintenance and upkeep of the school premises
- Ensuring the school grounds are safe, clean, and welcoming
- Completing basic safety checks and general maintenance linked to Health and Safety
- Basic repair work
- Assisting with relocating of furniture as and when required
- Assisting with the setup of school events and activities
