Our Leicestershire-based client is a leading supplier of engineering solutions to the water, power and process engineering environments. They pride themselves on delivering top-notch products and services to their clients and are looking for a dedicated Sales Administrator to join their team.
Other suitable titles could include Engineering Administrator, Proposal Engineer, Sales Coordinator, Sales Executive, Internal Sales, Sales Admin or similar.
This role is Commutable from Lutterworth, Coventry, Nuneaton, Atherstone, Tamworth, Rugby and Leicester.
The Role: Sales Administrator
- Showcase a demonstrable history of success in client-facing roles within an engineering environment.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and service when engaging with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met effectively.
- Possess a solid working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply technical expertise to internal sales processes.
- Skillfully interpret technical drawings and understand Bill of Materials (BOMs) to facilitate seamless communication with both clients and internal team.
- Leverage your experience to prepare accurate and comprehensive quotes for engineering customers efficiently.
- Exhibit a proactive approach in following up with customers, providing timely updates and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Demonstrate practical experience in sourcing parts and materials, contributing to the efficiency of internal sales operations
Key Requirements – Sales Administrator:
- Proven track record in a client-facing role within the engineering sector.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand BOMs.
- Previous experience in preparing quotes and managing customer relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement processes, including buying parts and materials.
- Commutable to Hinckley with access to own vehicle
