111Job Description:At Thames Water, we make a daily difference to our 15 million customers by supplying 2.6 billion litres of water through 32,000 km of pipes, keeping taps flowing and toilets flushing. Alongside the Road Risk Manager, implement and coordinate an effective and targeted occupational road risk strategy, which drives a reduction in vehicle collisions, injuries and all costs associated.

Engage with colleagues whilst using all tools available, including driver training to meet strategic goals. Work closely with our Logistics team to identify and mitigate Heavy Goods Vehicle and plant-specific risks.
Protect against the cost of driver-influenced cost about maintenance and hire damage by ensuring incidents are reported and charges are handled cost-effectively.

What you’ll be doing as a Road Risk Coordinator

You will also work alongside the Fleet Services Team, HR & HS&W, Suppliers, and other Thames Water colleagues.

  • Implementation of Road Risk strategies – Implement our strategic objectives to enhance business and driver awareness of road risk which drives a reduction in vehicle collisions, injuries and all costs associated.
  • Communication and Engagement – Communicate with key stakeholders to influence positive business and driver behaviour. Implement regular safety campaigns ensuring constant awareness of road safety.
  • Leading Indicators – Act upon leading indicators associated with road risk, implementing activity outlined in our road risk strategy with the aim of incident prevention.
  • Heavy Goods Vehicle and Plant specific risk mitigation – Work closely with our Logistics Delivery team, ensuring road risk specific to HGVs and our Logistics operation is mitigated.
  • Hire and maintenance damage – Protect against the cost of driver-influenced cost about maintenance and hire damage by ensuring incidents are reported and charges are handled cost-effectively.

What you should bring to the role

  • Experience as a Road Safety Practitioner or Worked in the fleet industry or similar profession.
  • Have an intermediate in using Excel including data analysis skills.
  • Working with data to identify behaviours and trends.
  • Production of dashboards/reporting
  • Experience using Office 365 applications.
  • You will require a UK Driving Licence to travel to multiple locations.

  • Offering a salary up to £39,000 per annum depending on experience and skills.
