Merco Medical is partnering with Independent Assessment Services to recruit a remote Physiotherapist for the DWP’s Personal Independence Payment service. The role involves conducting paper-based reviews of claims, independent health assessments, and writing reports for the DWP. The position offers a flexible self-led schedule and a salary of £35k rising to £37k after 12 months, with an annual performance bonus of 10%. Requirements include at least one year’s post HCPC registration Physio experience, good communication skills, and IT competency. Job Description:

Merco Medical are proudly recruiting, in partnership with Independent Assessment Services, for a Physiotherapist to work remotely from home on the DWP’s Personal Independence Payment service. 

This role is home-based, with occasional visits required in your local assessment centre.  All full and part time roles now include a flexible self-led schedule following a 6-week working pattern based on your preferences, in agreement with your line manager.

As a Physiotherapist Assessor you will:

  • Use your broad-based medical experience and clinical knowledge to conduct paper-based reviews of claims, independent health assessments and to write reports for the DWP.
  • You will be using your critical reasoning skills and drawing upon your clinical experience, skills & knowledge to ensure that your part in the assessment process is positive, dignified, and professional. 
  • Use your Clinical nursing expertise in a new way whilst enjoying a great work-life balance with excellent benefits 

Salary: £35k rising to £36k after 6 months and £37k after 12 months. There is also an annual 10% performance related bonus.

Requirements:

  • At least one year’s post HCPC registration Physio experience working with people aged 16 to 64. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be a competent user of IT.
