Appoint Consulting is recruiting a Children’s Registered Manager on behalf of an organization that supports young people in developing life skills and independence. The Registered Manager will work across two brand new properties in Lincoln, responsible for the efficient management of resources and provision of quality services for children in residential care. The ideal candidate will have experience in child care, a diploma in social work or NVQ Level 4, management experience, and the ability to build effective relationships. Duties include developing care plans, managing resources, promoting good practice, and meeting regulatory requirements.

Registered Manager

Appoint Consulting has the pleasure of recruiting a Childrens Registered Manager on behalf of an organisation that supports young people to develop a full range of life skills whilst mastering the art of independence.

The ideal Registered Manager is to work across two properties in Lincoln both of which are dual occupancy. This an exciting project as both sites are brand new and will involve recruiting and onboarding the team and preparing the sites with the full support of the business and its existing frameworks, processes, and management team.

The successful Registered Manager will be responsible for children requiring residential care, ensuring the efficient and effective management of all of resources allocated to the homes and ensuring quality services are provided for ‘Children Looked After’ whilst working within the policies procedures, and guidelines.

The ideal Registered Manager will have:

· Two years Child Care experience in the last 5 years to include one year in a senior

Capacity

· Have a Diploma in Social Work or NVQ Level 4

· Management and Supervision Experience

· Be able to build effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, such as other agencies, users of the service and members of the community

· Be innovative in their approach

· Can demonstrate creative thinking

· Be able to travel, attend meetings and keep appointments

Your Duties as a Registered Manager will be:

· Develop and implement methods to establish the needs of children as part of the individual Local Authorities care planning arrangements. Through the care plan approach, maximise choice and ensure that the service is provided in a planned and effective way.

· Manage physical resources to meet all appropriate legislative and regulatory requirements, taking action to minimise risk to people, plant and property.

· Manage, monitor and control activities against delegated budgets. Manage, monitor and control physical environment to meet legislative and regulatory requirements. Manage, monitor and control human resources to ensure effective delivery of service to meet statutory and legislative requirements.

· Create and maintain the necessary conditions for effective service delivery.

· To promote by personal example and through appropriate management, good social work practice, professional conduct and ethical standards.

· Establish and maintain monitoring systems within the Home and participate in monitoring and evaluation processes.

· Contribute to the selection of key performance indicators to monitor projects, performance and plans.

· To work within the policies, practices and procedures of Positive Independence.

· To meet the requirements as a Registered Manager as set out in the Children’s Homes National Minimum Standards care Standards Act 2000 and the Children Act 2004.
