Oil States Industries is currently recruiting a Quality Technician to cover maternity leave. The role involves supporting the Quality Assurance/Control functions by maintaining and improving quality standards, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost optimization. Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving inspection and test plans, compiling manufacturing records, liaising with clients and third parties for approval of documentation, and supporting quality and process improvement projects. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of Quality Management Systems, good communication skills, and strong knowledge of IT packages.

We are currently recruiting a Quality Technician to cover maternity leave.
Job Purpose
Support the Quality Assurance/Control functions by maintaining and continually working to improve quality standards, meeting company delivery expectations whilst ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost of product is optimised and business goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approval of external provider’s inspection and test plans.
- Compile manufacturing records into books ready for internal review and approval.
- Communicate with Quality Engineer/Manager to plan and update workload with expected completion date of manufacturing record books
- Liaise with client and third-party representatives to arrange and facilitate final approval of documentation
- Upload approved manufacturing record books to the document control system
- Send approved digital manufacturing record books to customers
- Assist in the escalation and close out of customer queries related to manufacturing record books
- Support the approval of internal QITP’s in accordance with product requirements
- Support CI activities to improve all aspects of NCR and Corrective Action management and work with all business stakeholders to embed improvements.
- Support the verification of effectiveness on corrective actions including reporting to the business on target improvement areas.
- Support the approval of external and internal documentation packages.
- Support pre-production review and approval of manufacturing plans, following production path to ensure compliance.
- Support quality and process improvement projects to enhance business quality performance.
- Support root cause analysis and use tools where appropriate to verify corrective actions
- Support program for ISO 9001 and API Q1 internal and supplier audits
- Support Supplier Quality audits in line with annual plan, working closely with internal Quality and Supply Chain resources.
- Support and train junior Quality Staff members
- Deputise in the absence of the Quality Engineer
- Promoting health, safety, environment, and quality throughout the business to drive improvement in all business functions.
Qualifications/Experience:
- An understanding of Quality Management Systems essential.
- Good verbal and written communication required.
- Strong working knowledge of IT packages; excel, word etc.
