Our client, a well-known national retailer, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the entire testing lifecycle for their dynamic e-commerce platform. In this role as Quality Assurance Manager, you will develop robust test strategies, coordinate test activities, manage a dedicated team, and ensure the delivery of top-tier software quality. The ideal candidate will have background in e-commerce, exceptional leadership abilities, coupled with demonstrable history of managing complex testing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Devise and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans tailored for e-commerce applications.
- Manage and coordinate all phases of testing, including unit, integration, system, regression, and acceptance testing.
- Lead a team of skilled test engineers and QA specialists, providing mentorship and guidance to foster growth and excellence.
- Collaborate closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to thoroughly understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Oversee the creation and upkeep of test cases, test scripts, and test data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Leverage automated testing tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the testing process.
- Track and report on testing progress, key metrics, and outcomes to keep all stakeholders informed.
- Identify, document, and manage defects and issues, working collaboratively with development teams to achieve timely resolutions.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry standards and best practices in all testing activities.
- Continuously assess and improve testing processes and methodologies to maintain cutting-edge practices.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to keep our testing strategies ahead of the curve.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE)
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms and technologies.
- Experience in performance and security testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of cloud-based environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Selenium and Specflow framework.
- Experience with test management tools like GitLab Issue Management Board and Jira.
- In-depth understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects concurrently
