We are looking to add a first-class Purchasing Administrator to our team – strong administrative skills are essential.
*Duties will include:*
* Supporting the Purchasing Director with general administration in a busy purchasing department
* Analysing past sales and raising orders with suppliers
* Following up on orders and liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries (and late deliveries)
* Contacting suppliers regarding credits for damaged products or items missing from deliveries
* Booking in deliveries from external suppliers
* Setting up new products on internal inventory system
* General stock management and liaison with internal departments
* Collecting and processing supplier and vendor information
* Research on pricing and materials
*Experience/Qualifications*
* Excellent IT skills with experience using Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets and Outlook packages
* Ability to priorities and manage workload
* Experience working within a similar industry is desirable
* General commercial awareness
* Clear, confident telephone manner
* Experience in an administrative position
*Personal Qualities*
* Good communication skills with some negotiating experience
* Analytical approach with attention to detail
* Enthusiastic and driven, with a desire to learn and progress
* Ability to work independently, can use own initiative when required
